Stair Climbing

I am a trainer and use Fitbit to track clients.  I have quite a few who use stair climbing as their main exercise. I have always pushed the Fitbit because I felt like it had the most accurate stair climbing. However, that seems to have changed recently. Is there some reason for this?

Welcome to the forums!

Why do you think there has been a change?

You must go up 10 feet in elevation for it to count a floor.

Wind and weather have always effected it and given false floors

There has been a change because I monitor several of my clients Fitbits regularly and as I said, it used to be extremely accurate and now it seems to not pick up as well. It appears to be a weaker GPS? I noticed this when I am in parking garages running stairs. As mentioned, it was extremely accurate before but now, not so much.
