Step accuracy while running

I have had the Versa for a month now.   In that time I have ran 3 races and run almost everyday.  I select Run when I start and check my pace and mileage while running.  Problem I am having is it is not accurate.  I will run a 5k and it has me barely running 2 miles with a 13 min pace.  I am beyond frustrated as I bought this to help me in training runs.... Any suggestions?

Hello there @Kj2Mcs, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! I'm sorry for the late response regarding your steps are not accurate.

I'm wondering if you are referring to the total steps or your total distance while you are running? If is your distance, this is related to the connected GPS feature.

Note that the distance might be lower, when your Versa has not being able to establish a GPS connection with your phone. If the exercise is started without having a complete connection with your phone, the distance will be based on your step count and not in the GPS. Which in most cases the distance will not match with a pre-measure distance or whit a GPS data causing some accuracy issues.

For more help please refer to this help article: Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device?

Hope this provide some help. I'll be around in case you have other questions.
