Hi All!

The sensitivity on my Versa is very high. For instance, sitting at my desk typing is counting steps. Any Suggestions on what to do???

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Chelsssse. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about your Fitbit Versa being very sensitive. Your watch is a motion sensor on your wrist and it may count some steps when you're working at a desk or performing other activities with arm movements, however it shouldn't be significant when compared to your overall stats. I recommend changing your wrist setting to "Dominant", it decreases the sensitivity of step counting and should reduce any over counting of steps when your body is not moving. You can change your wrist setting in the Fitbit app.

You can remove the extra steps from your daily total by following the instructions in this help article: How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?

I was really hoping that I could be able to adjust the sensitivity on my versa 2 because I have a left lower leg amputation and I am in a wheelchair and I only walk an average of 300 steps a day in physical therapy but my tracker records an average of 5000 steps a day!!!  I was hoping the versa would be good for accurately tracking my progress but so far that is not the case!!
