Steps disappeared when logging exercise

I had walked about 3000 steps today, then I started a walking exercise on my watch, during which I walked 11.000 steps.

So in total that should be 14.000 steps today, but after stopping the exercise and going back to the normal setting, it only shows the 11.000 steps as a total for today. As if the 3000 steps from earlier today disappeared.

Does anybody know why this happened?

Thanks for your participation in the Community @miiaa.

Regarding your steps information, I recommend selecting just one way to log your exercises. For more information, you can check the help article How do I use exercise apps and modes on my Fitbit device?.

Also, did you manually log the activity "Walk"? Since if you did, I recommend deleting it since it might cause discrepancies in your information. To delete an activity, do the following from the Fitbit app:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Exercise tile. This is the tile that says “Track exercise" or shows how many days you've exercised this week.
  2. Tap the exercise you want to delete.
  3. Tap the trash can icon in the top right corner.

Hope to hear from you soon. Smiley Happy
