Steps keep going back

Whenever I sync on the dash board my steps go back to the same number. I have hit my step goal a few times today and it keeps kicking me back to 8,667 steps. I even exchanged my Versa for a new one today and it still keeps doing it. So frustrating because it brand new!!! Please help!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @destiny.browne.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the issue you're experiencing with your steps going back to the same number after syncing. Thank you for your efforts to resolve the issue and letting me know that you've even exchanged the device. I understand how you're feeling and will be glad to investigate. I recommend confirming that your device is syncing. You can manually sync the watch by following these steps.

I also recommend restarting the app and the phone. If you're experiencing any difficulties with syncing, please try the following steps: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Let me know how it goes!

Uninstall reinstall FitBit app.  Unpair & pair Versa  Reset Bluetooth on your device.

How many devices do you have running FitBit app?  1 device only or you will get conflicts.

The FitBit dongle when connected to my laptop & I use Win10 to look at my stats or to sync causes me no end of sync, data transfer conflicts & issues.

I have to disable Bluetooth on my phone.

Hope this helps!
