Steps on Non Motorized ( CURVE) treadmill not registering

I walk 25 -30 Minutes on a CURVE non motorized treadmill at fitness club and my old HR would count steps but new VERSA does not.  Tried Re Setting factory settings and only have it linked to my iPhone dash board. Any suggestions

H, do you hold your arms on the bars of the threadmill during tis exercise? If yes, it's logical that the Versa will not count your steps cause you're not moving, e.g. swinging your arms, which is needed to count your steps.

The CURVE is a bit unstable to walk o n since it’s non motorized so both arms are needed to stabilize the body. My Alta HR would count the steps ?/

Hi, I answered more questions about his issue, but the Versa does not see it as steps if you are not swinging your arms. Swinging your arms is the sign that you are moving.
