Accepted Solutions

This is because the fitbit relies on your arm movement to count steps. If you are pushing a buggy or cart or holding the rail on a treadmill the count will be off.  I can only suggest putting your fitbit in your pocket to pick up hip or body movement. Trouble is you then don't get any other data.

I would love to see a good solution for this problem.

I've noticed the same thing when I am grocery shopping.  None of the steps I take are being tracked.

As @Lilbiddy states their really inst a good solution yet, at least no other wrist based tracker company has found a solution.

It would be great if the arm only moved when the feet does, but that is not how we are built.
