Stolen Fitbit

My fitbit versa has been stolen (amongst other things) around 12.15 today (July 1st). I have already reported everything to the police but I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to track a lost fitbit? My app tells me it was at 69% as of 06:30 this morning so I do believe there may still be charge on it as it, as it occured whilst I was at work so I hadn't been using it. Any suggestions I would really appreciate it! Thank you 🙂

There's no way to directly track a fitbit I'm afraid. If you are able to sync it then it will be within bluetooth range (20 - 30 feet) but this would be more useful if it were lost rather than stolen.

Fitbit also recommend the use of bluetooth detectors for finding a lost fitbit (see: Help article: I lost my Fitbit tracker ) but these just search for any bluetooth signal not a specific device.

One bit of good news is that all your data is safe. You will have lost any unsynced data but everything else is on the fitbit servers and the person who stole your fitbit will have no access to any of your personal information.

Thank you very much. I appreciate knowing all my data is safe. 🙂

I did see the article you suggested and had a look at the Bluetooth app but it didn't work out, thanks again!

So there’s no way to black list the device so whoever stole it cannot use it?
