Strange screen mark

It's a little hard to describe so see the attached pic. But basically I have a rectangular shaped area on my screen that never gets any marks on it, whereas the rest of the screen frequently does, so it stands out like a sore thumb most of the time. Anyone have any idea what it is or what I can do about it? It's as though there is anti-smudge on this part of the watch face, but it's not on the rest of the screen, which gets dirty very quickly.

Edit: for clarity it's the black mark on the screen, not the white mark (which is just reflection from lightbulb)

That is very odd. Is there on every screen? I'm assuming it isnt actually on the surface of the scrren but under the screen but I am not sure about that.  Try restarting the watch several times and if that doesnt clear it try a factory reset (settings app on the watch and scroll down to About)

No that doesn't work. Yes on every screen. If I clean the whole screen it's
not noticeable but as soon as it's touched, it's apparent, so it's more
physical than digital if you get me. Trying to understand if the versa has
some sort of coating on glass to protect from smudges, and whether the rest
of the glass hasn't had this applied to it. The rectangle never gets dirty
or smudged, which would be great if it was the same to the whole screen.

@bfill1985 If the restarting/ factory reset don't work, it seems like a physical defect. If it bothers you, you probably want to contact support for a replacement. I would recommend trying to get a replacement from the place you bought it from, if not Fitbit, first, though.

Hi Ben,

Just wondering if you ever resolved this? My screen has the exact same mark, same shape, but in a slightly different position!

Thanks, Mandie

No Mandie it's still there! It must be some sort of manufacturing defect.
It's as though there is supposed to be a coating on it to stop Mark's and
smudging, with part of the watch face not coated with the same protection.

Your best bet is to get fitbit to replace your Versa

The versa with the weird mark is a replacement for my old one that didn't have a mark but stopped working last week.
