Nothing tarnishes a first impression of a new device faster than fumbling through a needlessly annoying setup process. And it’s always surprising how many hardware/software/service manufacturers omit the simplest of solutions.
I just purchased a Versa and the excitement of it was killed as soon as I started setting it up. Instead of displaying the Versa’s MAC address at the top of the “choose a wireless network” screen, or at least printed somewhere on or in the packaging, Fitbit has decided that customers who are savvy enough to use MAC filtering are also savvy (and patient) enough to fumble through their alternate setup process (Bluetooth).
Please vote (thumbs up) for this post if you would like to improve the setup process for those who use network security features.
Also, for those struggling with completing the setup process in this scenario, scroll to the bottom of the “choose a wireless network” page (likely only applies to those living in dense cities with many neighbors) and select “setup wireless later”.

Hi @Chubasco - voting for your post will not bring the idea to the attention of the developers. They do not look at these forums. The best thing for you to do is submit your suggestion to the Feature Suggestion Board. There, others can vote for your idea and Fitbit developers can gage interest. Good luck!
