Suggestion to fix added steps while driving

I purchased my fitbit Versa yesterday at Costco and used it for the first time today.  I drive truck for a living and by the time I got to my first delivery, I logged 4000 steps and 25 floors climbed while sitting.  On my lunch I got on the forums and this seems to be an issue with many people and the fixes are sub optimal at best.

One of the forum members suggested adding a pause feature to help avoid adding extra steps.

My suggestion to the developers is long pressing the screen to pause steps and stairs with haptic feedback  and add a small indicator in the corner to remind the user that the steps are paused.

Sadly I'm returning the versa because the current fixes are too much of a hassle . Maybe In the future I'll pick one up once the issue is resolved.

There's also an app called "Drive Bit" which is supposed to help with the issue.  I've never used it, as the step difference for me really isn't that much (it's only a few hundred steps max), but I've heard of people using the app to negate the steps accumulated while driving.

I tried the app and it seems to work fine.  My thing is I drive all day at work stoping and starting.  I really don't want to keep having mess with the app just to keep it accurate.  I'm sure its incredibly difficult to design the fitbit to reconize whether your walking or driving and I'm sure that the designers had to make some trade offs to increase the sensitivity of the fitbit but this seems to be an ongoing issue.

I can't find an app named "Drive Bit" in the app store.  Where are you finding it?

Thanks
