I use to be able to configure the swim app to show specific data as I was swimming.  I had to reset my watch this summer and now I cant find where to do this configuration.  I dont see anything in the online help.  I had it set so the lap time showed on the top line and the lap distance in the middle.  Does anyone know how to get into set this back up again?  I can't click on the setting icon on the watch -- that just starts the app.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @imhalca. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern about the option to show specific data during your swimming exercises. Thank you for providing the additional details. Reply by @LiliyaFitbit is not correct.

The lap counting feature has been, for some reasons, removed as also mentioned in the following thread.

This is definitely a regression.

Hi @Giampi71, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and your input. I understand your concern and would like to confirm that for Versa 2 or Versa Lite, during the duration of the swim, the only on-device stat you can see is time. Versa 2 and Versa Lite function differently from Versa. Other stats will display in the Fitbit app after you sync the activity.

For more information, please see this help article: How do I track my swims with my Fitbit device?

I'll be around.

@LiliyaFitbit Thanks for your time to confirm my answer. Now, to add more to the discussion, let go deeper into the matter.

1) What are the limitation of Versa Lite and Versa 2 to display important metrics like Versa does?

2) Is it due to an Exercise app update?

3) Is it due to a firmware update?

4) In few words am I right to expect that for also Versa will incur into the same fate?

5) Or is Fitbit admitting the regression and go back to implement those metrics?

Thanks

@imhalca After the factory reset of your watch, the new firmware was installed. The new firmware removed the cues such as laps. I believe it is to be brought back with one of the future firmware updates.

Well, I'm not so sure it is going to be brought back. It looks to me that the differentiation between Versa 2/Lite and Versa 1/Ionic has been intentional as per link by @LiliyaFitbit . That's why I would like her to reply to my questions.
