Swimming Issue and Not Auto Recognizing Walking

I used the Exercise Swim today.  Laps were accurate.  I tried to stop it by pushing the right lower corner. It would not stop.  Dried it off and still wouldn't stop.  Finally held left button and right lower button.  it took me out of exercise.  It did not show Swim as one of my activities   What's going on?

 

I have taken two walks since the swim that were over 10 minutes--12 and 18 minutes.  The Versa is not automatically recognizing the activity.

 

I would appreciate any help.

Try restarting you tracker several times and see if it works then. Try a longer exercise than 12 minutes as it could have missed the start of it and so it would not reach the 10 minute threshold (you have set it to 10 minutes?) 

When you say you tried to end the swim, did you tap the screen or press the lower right button (just not clear from what you said), then the upper right button, then the red End on the screen?

I tried to end swimming by pushing the lower right button but nothing happened   There are only 2 circles. It does not have the half circle around it.  it doesn't give you the upper right button to push or the end button.  I restarted my tracker several times and it was the same.  The only way it would end was to restart it.  I took the Versa back and got another one.  it is exactly the same.  Did you have some trackers go out that were defective   I bought the insurance so I can take it back but if they got a batch of bad ones, I'm scared it will be the same. Any suggestions?

 

The Versa also has me climbing a lot of stairs when haven't gone up any and adds steps when rocking in my rocking chair.

 

It's been very frustrating   I need accurate information

Can someone from Fitbit reply?  The swimming button allows it to start but does not allow me to end.  there are 2 circles bottom right corner but no half circle around.  have to restart it.  it does not get to point where you can end it and no done option.

 

I'm also getting extra steps from slightly rocking in my chair.

 

Believe there may be a clinch as took it back and got a replacement with exact same problem  

 

It also has me climbing a lit of stairs when I haven't climbed one.

 

Please help.
