During an excercise activity e.g. going for a walk the activity tracker, GPS, excercise timer, etc all work fine.
However I sometimes wish to see what the time is during the excercise activity.
I cannot find a simple way of doing this without stopping/pausing the activity.
Surely there is a simple way of checking the time that I am missing ?

Hello @KwikPhix328 and welcome to the Community. The screen has a top, middle, and bottom stat. You can scroll through various real time stats on the middle stat by tapping. The current time is one of the available stats. The top and bottom stats are preset, depending on the exercise choice. But you can customize those and put the current time in the top or bottom. When you choose an exercise, swipe up on the tiny “^” on the bottom of the screen. The stat settings are there, along with others.

@KwikPhix328 During and exercise, you can side swipe the middle stat to get various other info including time of day. You can also customize the middle stat and add or remove items. You can also customize the top and bottom stats and make one time of day if you want.
