Machine is Windows 10 Pro with all security updates and patches applied
Everything I've read suggests that I need the Fitbit / Fitbit Connect software on my machine to sync music to my Versa 2. Most of the same articles say I need to download the software from the Microsoft Store. Unless it's changed it's name, and logo, the software no longer exists on the Microsoft Store. Or at least not that I could see.
I did find a version of the Connect software on my machine, FitbitConnect-v2.0.2.6982, which did install. The install did throw some errors, but when I opened main Menu; 'An Unexpected Error Occurred." I changed my password, and it let me open the Dashboard. Okay, so far so good! But when I attempted to use the Sync Music or Manage My Music functions, from the menu, I get the same "An Unexpected Error Occurred."
I should mention that when the install of the Fitbit software completed, it attempted to update and opened the Microsoft Store. Of course, there was nothing to upgrade to as the software no longer exists there.
What are my choices here? I really don't want to take my phone to the gym; when I'm on the treadmill or rowing machine I won't need it. Those weeks I'm on-call, I'll be lugging around two phones.
Does the Fitbit connect software, for Win 10, exist any longer? If so, where can I download it?
Is download music to my Versa 2 stil an option, or is this a lost cause?
Are my only options either a Google or Apple device?
Is Dweezer, or similar service an option? I don't see the app on my watch, and didn't notice it in Apps as a downloadable option.
Best regards!

@LoralieF I'm very sorry, but Fitbit removed all ability to store personal music on the Versa 2 when it deactivated Fitbit Connect and the Windows 10 app in late 2022. It deactivated Pandora and Deezer at the end of March, so you can't store these playlists, either. The Spotify app is Spotify - Connect & Control. It controls Spotify on your phone or other device. Fitbit has left us with no good alternative.

Thank you for your reply @LZeeW
This is deeply saddening!
I do have the Spotify App on my watch. Do you know if it's possible to sync from the Spotify app on my phone to the watch?
Best regards!

@LoralieF You can't transfer your Spotify playlists to your phone. You must have your phone with you.

I was afraid of that - just wanted to clarify.
I did have a chat with a support person, shortly after replying to you, and it looks like the option is going to come back. "Sometime" later this year an update to the mobile app will be released. So on some weeks - when I'm on-call - I'll have two cells in tow. Not a great option, but I'll just have to deal with it.
Thanks again!

Hi @LoralieF - you may have been misinformed about onboard music. Fitbit finished removing onboard music from all watches end March 2023, it is highly unlikely they will then put it back.
Incidentally to operate Spotify music on the phone you can use the watch built-in Music Controls which allows you to control any music on the phone AND adjust the volume without stopping what is being used on the watch.
You can pull down from the top of the watch face once, then again and tap the 2 white bars and choose Music Controls or assign it to the left long button press to activate it.

Thank you for your response.
I had a previous Versa, to which of course I could download music. It wasn't until I went looking for the informtion that I discovered this was no longer an option. The support person I chatted with did advise that this ability will be part of an update to the mobile app; however the cynic in me tends to agree with you as to whether or not this functionality will be restored.
Best Regards!

@LoralieF You are right to be skeptical of any future improvements mentioned by Support. Fitbit keeps future plans very hush hush. That Support person is making something up or violating their non-disclosure agreement. We can only hope.

I’m just trying to control the music that I’m Listening to when i workout. Not have anything on my sense 2. The 1st sense let you skip songs and so on this one nothing. Am i missing it? Did you find something?

Not even an option to just skip songs through having our phone connected to our watch?
