Syncing issues with fitbit versa 2 on Windows 10 Laptop

Hello, I've recently purchased a fitbit versa 2 and am happy with it. It syncs well with my phone but does not sync at all with my laptop. It only receives updated information from my phone after it has synced. I've tried turning off my phone  but it still doesn't sync on the laptop.

Was considering uninstalling the app and reinstalling it again. Would this help at all. Thank you in advance for any help I might receive. Kind regards, Stella:)

If it syncs with your phone, why do you even care if it syncs with your laptop?

You can view the data on your laptop after it has synced with the phone.

If you really do care about syncing from laptop, first turn off bluetooth on phone before trying.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi @JohnnyRow  and thanks for your reply. I am more of a laptop person than a phone person, perhaps a bit old fashioned by your standards but that's who I am.

As stated in my query I did turn the bluetooth off and in fact switched the phone off altogether and it still didn't sync on my laptop.
