@Mart24 Have you tried installing older version of Fitbit app, like 2.74.2? Look for it on the internet.

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Uninstall the Fitbit mobile app
  3. Reboot your phone and install an older build of Fitbit mobile app. Do not pair in your phone's bluetooth settings
  4. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes
  5. Login to Fitbit mobile app
  6. Grant all permissions and sync.

The trick here is to not pair in phone Bluetooth settings but rather let the Fitbit mobile app do that.

Additional tips if sync issues persist: If you have Wifi set up, go to Fitbit mobile app and remove it, then sync your Versa. I noticed that it causes issues for me. If you have other Bluetooth devices paired with your phone, forget them. One of them might be causing issues. Also, make sure Always Connected, Keep Alive Widget and All day sync are enabled.

Hello @Mart24  thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board! It's nice to see you around @Marrrmaduke !

@Mart24 let me assist you with your inquiry about syncing the Fitbit Versa with your Huawei Honor 8X. While your phone is not a supported device for the Fitbit app at this moment, it doesn't mean that it won't work with the app entirely, but rather that some of its functions might work intermittently. Our engineering team works really hard to keep up with every new phone and mobile device releases, so our customers can enjoy their trackers to the fullest. I recommend keeping an eye on this page, as it will be listed there when your device is fully supported.

Have you tried what @Marrrmaduke suggested? You can double check the requirements and the troubleshooting steps in this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

@Marrrmaduke thank you for your helpful instructions!

Hi,

Had I read this before I would not have bought the Fitbit. Trust me its very sad that you buy something and it starts giving you problems. I have an Honor 8X for the last 1 year and I just bought a Fitbit Versa 2 Lite 3 days back. I am struggling to sync this **ahem** thing.

Please, someone, help me.

I am struggling. Please share the link to the older Fitbit version. I feel I should not have bought a Fitbit.

It is a pain to get your Honor 8X connected. I did not have any problems yesterday. There was a patch that ran on my Fitbit app on the phone and now boom the notifications stop working. Thank you, Fitbit for screwing up once again. I did not buy a Fitbit for £160 to keep doing this switch off and switch on. I do not know how it will get sorted.

@Sreeikanth we both have the same phone right, Honor 8x? The workaround I have described in my thread works every time for me, but it does need doing repeatedly, for me I do it in the morning when I wake up, and usually again in the late afternoon

Hi,

Great reply. Being a marketer myself I feel the most difficult thing for any brand to know about is the problem statement. Here you know what the problem statement is which is - Fitbit Versa not syncing with Honor 8X phones. What is Fitbit doing about it? By just asking us to read the Help does not help. I have been struggling with this and so are 1000's of users. Why cannot Fitbit come up with a solution? If you feel certain devices have a problem do insert a writeup when the user is shopping across various portals that these devices are not compatible with Fitbit. It will save you a lot of work.

Meanwhile rather than switching on and off my phone 100 times during the day, please come up with a solution and crack this code.

@Sreeikanth seems to me the issue is our phone is not fully supported so I guess we didn't research enough before dropping our £160 on this product 😥 that's the Fitbit explanation, as for what they are.doing about it, I don't know

So, are you saying the workaround which is working for me and my Honor 8x isn't working for you?it doesn't give you your notifications? When you're busy following the advice on the red warning in the Fitbit app about restarting and doing it 100 times a day does.that give you your notifications back? Because for me a simple restart as that notice suggests does absolutely nothing

I did what you asked me to do. Clear cache and it does work. You are right. We should have researched about it. I assumed (my fault) Fitbit works with all devices.
