Text Messages don't show.

I just got my new Versa two days ago.  I get notifications that I have a new message but the message doesn't show. Messages from Fitbit work and my Carrot app and the emergency alert yesterday but not regular text messages. Help!

@linlit what text messaging app are you using? is the body of the message visible in your phone's notification bar? what happens if you tap on the message notification on your versa? finally, whats your phone model and OS?

My phone is a Samsung J3.  Probably not compatible. It just tells me I have a new message and I can open it on my phone from my Versa but it's just not there on my Versa.

@linlit if you go to notification center/bar on your phone (where all push notifications appear), can you see the text of the message there? Versa will display only what's visible in the notification center. Does the problem happen with other messaging apps, like whatsapp, telegram, fb messenger, whichever you're using. Also, I would try installing Google Messages and setting it as a default messaging app (remember to change the notification settings in Fitbit mobile app as well) to test if perhaps this is the issue of the native messaging app.

Hi, I have the same issue with my Versa and Pixel 3a XL. I'm using my favorite texting app, Google Messages and still have not received a single text notification. I'm receiving all others though (email, etc.). I've confirmed default text app is messages in the Fitbit app. I've also confirmed that in the notifications section that messages (by default) is selected. I cannot uncheck it as it is overridden by the system. Any ideas on how to resolve?

I can get all notifications and messages from Facebook messenger on my Versa and on the Charge 2 but not my text messages. It just says New Message. I have tried changing in the settings buy can't do it.
