Time limit on firmware updates?

I was given a 2 year old Versa watch. The firmware level is 32.32.12.19. I understand the current level for Versa is 32.72.1.9 yet, when I look in the IPhone App, I don't see any invitation to update the firmware.

Any ideas?

Thanks for that advice. I'll keep the iPhone app running in background for a few days.

I don't think there is any time limit.  But after you set up a watch, it often takes a few days before you get a notice for the firmware update.  I forget which models but sometimes it is slowly downloading update in the background, and then just gives you notice when it is ready to install what it has already downloaded.  So I suggest just wait a few days, and it should be coming.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
