Time zone not updating automatically on sync on Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I live and work in 2 different timezones. However, my Versa NEVER changes itself. My phone system time changes within a minute of me arriving in a different timezone, but that is not reflected on my Versa unless I manually go in and "Select time zone".

Versa version = 32.33.1.30

Android Phone app Version 2.83 (20213333) settings:

- Always Connected = ON

- Automatic Timezone = ON

- Automatic Location = ON

Do I have it set correctly so my Versa updates automatically in a different timezone? Because it's not functioning...

Thank you for any help 🙂

You would have to sync when you change zones.  Tracker doesn't really know where it is, but takes time from your phone at each sync.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

But it's "always connected" and syncs my steps automatically just fine...not the time tho...so what setting do I have wrong that the TIME isn't syncing?

Hello @jedijennie thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's great to see you too @JohnnyRow, I hope you're doing well.

@jedijennie  I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would also like to thank you for letting us know the troubleshooting step you've tried so far. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to restart your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. Then monitor your Versa and let us know if after the restart you're still experiencing the same.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Thank you! Just reset it and I fly to CST tomorrow so I will give an update in 24 hours if it worked!

Ok, I was unable to test yesterday since my phone died on the plane and I had to turn on Bluetooth after it charged, so I don't consider that a "normal" test. Luckily (not really for me tho lol) I fly again Monday, and I'm bringing my portable charger this time, so my phone will be ready to do a 'normal' test where I just take it out of airplane mode in the new timezone. So I'll see if it works Monday 🙂

@MarcoGFitbit  - so I flew back to EST today, landed 5 hours ago, but my Versa is still on CST 😞  Once again, my phone system time changed IMMEDIATELY after taking it out of airplane mode.

The reset didn't work...what else can I do? I kinda need my watch to tell the correct time 😛

I have the same problem, when I change time zones the versa Fitbit will not correct itself. I have tried resetting, synching to no avail.
seems to me you may have a systematic problem that needs to be addressed

Sorry Bobby, no fix for this 😞 I travel every week. These 3 settings DO NOT WORK so I've just turned them off. Maybe in another generation it'll sync when we land? But for now, you HAVE TO MANUALLY sync when you land in another timezone. Seems like this would have been an easy fix with a firmware update but guess not.

- Always Connected = ON

- Automatic Timezone = ON

- Automatic Location = ON

Even manual sync isn't fixing it for me. This is ridiculous.

I tried everything with no success. Then reatarted my LG Android phone and my Sense timezone and time were fixed.  Might be worth a try
