My versa lite watch was restarting itself every hour. I decided to do a factory reset. It took the whole day to get it connected and updated. However, now, it won't do the tracker software update. My watch stays on the Fitbit design and says "download the Fitbit app". My watch is pretty useless right now.

Doing a factory reset @Ifitzger has removed the tracker from your Fitbit account.
It now requires you to open the Fitbit app and setup the tracker with the same process used when first purchased.
First make supre the tracker is not found in your phones Bluetooth.

Mine did the same when I have done a factory reset.
I have fixed it by starting the update and plug the watch to my computer on Windows 10.
Mine was recognised quite quickly and the update started. Keep your phone close to the watch.
It's a long process . It's took me a hour to download it.

If the tracker is dying to download the Fitbit, before we will be able to update the firmware on the tracker, we will need to setup the tracker to the Fitbit account.
