Tracker not accurate.

Past 2 months my Versa isn't accurately tracking my steps on the treadmill. Very frustrating when I know I've done 50 minutes of exercise, 3 miles on the machine, yet my tracker is showing 1200 steps and less than 1 mile. Ugh!! I have tried re-synching, tried just using the step calculator.......ready to change brands! First Vera got ruined with my first swim, replaced it and now this!

Hi, when you're on the treadmill, do you hold with your arms the bars of the treadmill? If yes, then the inaccuracy can be explained by this. The Versa can only track your steps accurately when you're moving your arms when walking. If you do not hold the bars, try restarting the Versa multiple times in a row by pressing and holding the left and right lower buttons together untill you see the Fitbit log and release the buttons.

If this is true, why differentiate that someone is on a treadmill and not just walking? Also, is there a way to recognize a stationary bike is being used?Sent via the Samsung Galaxy Note9, an AT&T 5G Evolution smartphone

Hi, I really can help it, but if you put your hands on the bars, they are not moving and the Versa does not see it as "walking" or whatever.

Then why is there a special exercise mode for treadmill? Wouldn't it be exactly the same as the walking mode and count my steps the same way?Sent via the Samsung Galaxy Note9, an AT&T 5G Evolution smartphone
