@FitTracker87 I think you're confusing 2 different things. One is manually starting the workout on your Versa to be recorded while you're exercising, and the other one is logging the workout in the Fitbit mobile app once you already completed it. I think you're interested in starting the workout on your Versa. First, you need to add the exercise shortcut to the activities list on your Versa. Open your Fitbit mobile app, tap on the Versa icon, scroll down to Exercise Shortcuts, tap it, remove the shortcuts you're not using by swiping left, tap the + icon to add another shortcut, choose spinning, sync your Versa. Now you can open Exercise app on your Versa, swipe until you get to the Spinning mode and start it (more on page 45 of this manual).

Best AnswerYou attached the Fitbit to your leg or foot and it still did not track? That just doesn't make sense. The Apple does track when I use the recumbent bike for some reason it will say I have been on the bike for something like 40 minutes, but the number of minutes it gives me credit for in the exercise ring is much less.
Good luck with the Fitbit. I guess none of these trackers are perfect, something we just need to accept.
Best AnswerI’m having the same problem. I finally figured out how to manually input my time but already can’t find how I did it. Seems to have a lot of quirks that should be easy for Apple to fix. Now I’m going to try the above suggestion to put it on my ankle and add it under “spin”, if I can find it! Also check the accuracy compared to the info on the bike also. “Spin”
wasnt available on my list of activities! It seems for Apple, they would have made fbV more user friendly. With all the info in the help department, often the answer of commonly asked questions aren’t there. I also find the menu selection extremely limited. You would think a section would regarding these would be one of the tiles, such as “commonly asked questions “ and “how to navigate and set up various areas of your device “. A “manual “ section would be the best! It almost seems like laziness on Apple’s part.
Best AnswerYou’re not dumb! Fitbit needs to be made more user-friendly! I’m surprised with how well their heartbeat and sleep
info is, that the phone appears to be set up in a somewhat unorganized manner. There also seems to be a lack of menus to choose from that should address the basics of setting it up since there is no manual that comes with it! Apple needs to step up
their game on info being easily obtained to operate and set up this device. There’s also a lot of useless information throughout the watch.
Best AnswerOn my Versa, under the exercise icon, I added Spinning (so it doesnt need a GPS) and Treadmill. The seem to track the time & heart rate.
When on the recumbent bike, I rest my hand with the watch on my thigh & it does the 'steps'. When on the treadmill, I let my one arm swing it counts the steps. Seems to work better for me that way.

Best AnswerThe Fitbit has nothing to do with Apple except it's an Apple app for the iphone or iDevice. Apple did not create it. If you have suggestions, contact Fitbit. I agree there are some things lacking but I have not gone through the entire website.
Best AnswerI have tried everything to add spinning and elliptical and it records only a fraction of an hour workout. My Motiv ring was Sooo much easier to record. Fitbit is for walkers. I'm returning my Fitbit.
Best AnswerI find the Fitbit Versa to be difficult, period. It’s ridiculous it doesn’t come with a simple manual to answer these questions. I attach my watch to my ankle with a large diaper pin then have to manually input the info from the incumbent bike. I tried the above instructions and it let me add spin (after much research) but can’t detect it,unless the info is put in manually. It thinks I’m walking... the other day it wiped out my first three days of a 5-day workout. Again I had to enter the info back manually because the info was still on the “steps” part when I arrowed back. fV also way over estimates mileage while walking & my IPhone underestimates but is closer. Two months into owning it and wish I never asked for it for Christmas. You would think these kinks could be worked out. Another issue is not being able to adjust your stride length.
Oh I confused the two! Ok, just remove the word Apple and replace it with whoever makes Fitbit. It shouldn’t be this complicated to operate this thing. And it should come with a manual! But that would make too much sense...

I gave a Garmin vivoactive3m. I simply press indoor bike, and it registers my heart rate for the whole ride After I stop, it has an edit button to input the miles rode, which I get from the bike. It than gives you average speed also. Go Garmin it's easy.
