Transferring music

I have just bought the Fitbit Versa and I’m disappointed to learn that I cannot transfer music to it unless I own a desktop computer or subscribe to Deezer.

I am an iOS user - iPhones and iPads have been developed over the years so that you don’t need to rely on a desktop computer for connectivity - everything can be done from the actual device without the need to connect to a PC. It would be good if Fitbit started to think that way too.

I have a work laptop, but this does not allow the iTunes programme to be installed, which I imagine is the same for many business laptops. so I’m stuck. I already subscribe to Amazon Music and have no intention of moving to Deezer. It’s a pity Fitbit did not affiliate itself with more streaming services such as Amazon, ultimately - this feature is useless to me and I will have to continue carrying with me and playing music from my phone which is a no better experience than I had with the Alta HR. Am I missing something?

@cat_goldfish You don’t need iTunes to transfer music to your watch.  Yes you need a desktop but the thing you need to download is the Fitbit connect app (which is a desktop app). Just click the link and select the option that your desktop runs on Mac/ windows/ pc etc. You'll be able to select from your playlist on your desktop through the app and transfer your music onto your versa.  Be warned transferring is not the quickest however they may have fixed that now but just In case make sure you’ve set aside time to do it.  It took me 90 mins to transfer 64 songs, some people have found it even longer some quicker.

Hope me this helps a bit.
