Trending Periods

Fitbit shows Trending Data for a variety of items, such as weight, distance etc. The trending period is Day, Week, Month or Year. I would prefer to see the ability to trend for the last 7 days, last 30 days or last 365 days.

The problem with the other choices, is that if you're at the beginning of a week, month or year, your see virtually no trend line. last 7 days, etc., will still show you the trend line.

@davidkbrown in the Public Preview of the new Fitbit app data are presented in the way that you suggest. If you are in one of the countries where the Public Preview is supported and you have Fitbit Premium, you are able to test that out. If not, you will have access to that eventually, but I'm not sure exactly when.

I've never seen Public Preview. Is Canada supported for this feature.

I just might be that I didn't know about it & don't know where to look.

@davidkbrown   This feature is available in Canada.  It requires Premium.

Static intervals at Fitbit often hide progress at the beginning of the period, so a request for "last 7 or 30 days" is logical for a continuous trendline. Try viewing the extended graphs in the web panel, where filtering sometimes works more flexibly. It seems that you really care about your wellness, and the modern corporate platforms of 2026 are just betting on such accurate analytics: https://betterme.world/articles/corporate-wellness-software-with-mobile-apps-2026/.  This allows you to see the dynamics without pauses.Flexible schedule settings in the app help you better understand your condition.

I track my weight regularly & some other functions. At the beginning of any
period, you se no trend. If it's the beginning of a week, in the middle or
near end of the month you can go to month & get a trend, with poorer
resolution. Otherwise you get nothing.
I looked into the new Beta app details, but it seems to be for Premium use.
I shouldn't have to pay for something that is a simple program improvement.

@davidkbrown the new Fitbit app is still being tested. For now, it is only available to Premium members. Eventually, it will be released to Basic members as well. Then everyone will have access to that feature.

I feel this is such a basic & simple feature, that it should be available
to everyone.
Fitbit users shouldn't have to pay extra for this. This is not a huge
upgrade & helps us track some of our most basic health data.

@davidkbrown   This version of the app will, according to Google, "become the new app experience."  Certain features will require Premium, basic won't.  Like @alexthecat wrote, you will eventually see this.
