Unable To Brighten the Screen

I am unable to brighten the Versa screen - it remains on dim. I went into settings on the device, but the brightness button does not respond to tapping. Therefore, the advice in the forum regarding settings is unhelpful. Advice?

If you haven't already, try a restart by holding in left side button until the fitbit logo appears, about 10 seconds. Then after screen returns to normal, try going into settings again and see if you can tap the brightness setting.

If you still cannot, can you successfully tap to enter any setting?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thank you. I did as you suggested but still, the brightness button in settings does not respond. Yes, there are several buttons that are “live” in settings but also some that are not. Do you have any other suggestions?
