Unable to Control Music While Watch is in Exercise Mode

As far as I can tell, there is no way to control my Spotify (song selection/volume) while my watch is in exercise mode. I have my Spotify in my watch shortcuts, but when I try to open Spotify, my watch says I would need to stop my workout to open the Spotify App. The only time I use the watch's music control feature is while I am working out, and being unable to access my music in workout mode makes it feel like my Versa 3 is a step down from the Blaze I bought in 2016.

Hi @elisedumo - replace Spotify with Music Controls in the shortcuts. See Using Music controls instead of Spotify

Hi, thank you for the advice! Where can I find the music controls app? I don’t see it in the “Apps” section on my FitBit app. Thanks!

@elisedumo  - it's not an app but a feature on the watch.

Double press the button and 4 shortcuts come up, it may be one of them, if not go into watch Settings and configure it so it does.
