Unable to connect to Versa Lite

Continuously getting error message, " Error connecting with Vera Lite. Please make sure your Fitbit is nearby and powered on and then please try again"  I have restarted my fitbit and my phone. I have reinstalled my verse and reinstalled the Fitbit app.
