I've just gotten my Versa a few days ago and I've noticed that upon waking up in the morning, the sleep log on my watch does not show the hours of sleep I had. I have to open up the app on the phone first, sync it, and then it'll reflect on my watch. How do I get it to show up on the watch screen without having to sync it from the phone app?
I find this completely troublesome for a $100/$200 watch. The whole point of having a fitness/sleep tracker watch is just that - to be able to have that sleep information on the watch without having to fumble to get your phone. I tried a fitness tracker watch from Amazon for less than $50 and it tracked my sleep on the watch perfectly without having to get to the app on the phone.
I was also quite disappointed that the watch did not come with a built-in "reminder to drink" feature. I had to look through the forum and based on someone else's suggestion, download a third party app that sends the reminder notification to my watch.
Another issue I ran into was the water log. I've seen a couple of threads where others are experiencing the same issue - the watch only shows "last logged" water stat instead of showing the running total for that day. I've tried resetting the watch, syncing the app, quitting the app, restarting, resyncing and nothing worked. I've seen the running total only twice since I've had this watch.

It looks like the "all day sync" option does automatically sync the sleep stats to the Versa. I just need to wait 15-20 mins upon waking up before the sleep stats will show on the watch.

Hello @Femme7981, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your feedback with us. Please note that in order for your sleep log for the previous day to show up in the Today screen, you need to sync your Versa first. The watch will not show the log automatically. When it comes to the reminders to drink, although this feature does not exist yet, our team has labeled as "under consideration" @totoni's suggested idea. Keep in mind that this does not guarantee the feature will be implemented but it sure has caught our development team's attention.
Finally, with water logs, I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far, I'll make sure to forward your information to our team so they can take a better look at this situation. Once we have more to share about this situation, we'll make sure to post it here in the official Forums.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, have a great day.

Hi @MarcoGFitbit. Thanks for your quick response.
Regarding the sleep log, if I have my app set to "All-Day Sync", would that then allow me to see the sleep log on the Today screen on my watch upon waking up in the morning without having to get into my phone first?

@Femme7981 No. All Day Sync really only syncs your steps without opening the Fitbit app on your phone. Anything more complex won't sync. The only way to get your sleep to appear on your Versa is to sync with your phone.
Look at it this way. Your Versa can measure your heart rate and your arm movements. When you open the Fitbit app on your phone in the morning and sync your Versa, that information is downloaded to the app and to the Fitbit servers where it uploads your HR and movement data. There, that data is analyzed through mathematical algorithms to become Sleep Stages which is then relayed back to your phone where you can view a sleep graph. Finally, this information is forwarded to your watch where you can see the analyzed results as time spent in Light, Deep or REM sleep or Awake time. It all happens quite quickly but the ability to do this advanced analysis can't happen within the limited computer of your watch.

@kcronin, Thanks for your reply.
I found this thread here that was started a few years back - https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Add-sleep-to-quot-Fitbit-Today-quot-on-the-Ionic... and I believe it is referring to the same exact problem that I'm running into.
It also looks like as of 01-09-2019, it says that this feature of having the sleep log appear in the Today screen has been released in the new update. My version is showing as 33.1.30 so shouldn't I have this feature or am I missing something?

@Femme7981 When you open the Today app on the Versa (slide up from clock face) you can scroll all the way to the bottom and touch on Settings. There you can choose 7 elements to show from the 10 available. Sleep is one of the available elements. Did you not check this? That would explain why you don't see Sleep. I thought that you were remarking that the sleep stats don't show without syncing with your phone and that is true. But, once you do sync, the Total Sleep minutes show and, if you slide sideways, the minutes spent awake, in deep, light and REM sleep also show.

@kcronin. I guess I misunderstood the original poster of that thread.
I did select Sleep from the 10 that are available under settings to show up under the Today screen. And yes, my original remark was that sleep stats don't show without having to sync it with my phone first.
I assumed that the thread was in reference to having the sleep stats on the watch without having to sync first because of the following comments that describe the issue that I am facing.
"The app does for the ionic ( I don't have a versa) but you have to sync and download the data to see the sleep analyses, it would be nice to see the hours slept as part of the watch interface without having to sync"
"It requires you to LOAD tbe app, SYNC your tracker, then finally view your
sleep. It would be a lot easier if that were implemented into the tracker
so that when it detects you wakcan no up it automatically syncs and shows
your sleep time. I don’t own a Fitbit tracker anymore, but that is one
thing an APP does for me."
"Yes, please show the simple sleep stats on the watch, like Pebble did. That was a key feature - like other said, if I have to get my phone and sync it first before I know how much I've slept, then I'm pretty much awake."
If the "updated feature" that the latest comment in that thread was referring was adding the Sleep to the Today screen, then that's something I already have. I just need to have it a step up - sleep stats on watch without having to sync first.
I reached out to Support on the phone and the rep said that this feature - sleep stats on watch without having to sync first should be in the next update in a week or so and that I should just wait for it......
Anyway, thank you for your responses. I appreciate your help!

I had to do a factory reset yesterday per customer support and now I can't even see sleep as an option under "today" anymore. It says to check up to 7 stats but I only have 3 to choose from in settings.... Activity, hourly steps, heart rate. So frustrating! I can't figure out how to fix it. Wish I never had done the reset...
