I have a Versa, about a year or so old. Running Windows 10 on laptop.
I made the mistake of installing the latest OS update this morning and now when I try to sync the Versa with the desktop app, I get the "tracker not found" message. I tried plugging the Versa into the USB on the computer, I got the same message.
I PREFER to use my desktop app with my Versa, so please don't just offer the advice that I should use the app on my iPhone.

Hi @DLThune, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums! Sorry for the delayed reply.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared in your post, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Windows 10 computer that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed. Also, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes.
Keep me posted please.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer. There is no missing requirement on my computer. I'd been syncing daily ever since I bought my versa over 14 months ago.
I originally had a Fitbit Alta, 3 or so years ago. I upgraded to the Fitbit HR Charge, and then to the Versa. All along, the desktop app worked perfectly for me - I had Windows 7 at the beginning but have been running Windows 10 for 2½ years now. I didn't even have the app installed on my phone because MY PHONE BELONGS TO MY EMPLOYER and I prefer not to install too many personal apps.
When I got a personal phone a year ago, I did install the phone app. I then discovered that my activity would no longer sync to my computer unless I turned off the bluetooth on my phone, so that became a thing. Wake up, turn off bluetooth, sync fitbit, turn bluetooth back on, go about my day. Pain in the you know where but whatever.
Then I installed the Fitbit OS update and now my computer says "tracker not found" 100% of the time. I've discovered that my computer DOES still sync - with my phone, or possibly with the fitbit.com website - but it only syncs AFTER I sync the phone app, then the computer catches up. This is not the way it used to work, and I don't like it.
So, perhaps that's too much detail. And perhaps I'm just a cranky old woman who doesn't like change - especially when I constantly feel like apps are trying to force me to use my phone for things that I'd prefer to do on a desktop or laptop. I doubt very much that anyone else has experienced anything similar, because I do seem to be a unicorn when it comes to technology. NOT that I'm not smart enough to figure stuff out MOST of the time. I am definitely intelligent enough. But again, my experiences tend to be unique.
Again, I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to me, but I think my issues are going to remain unsolved. Once again, I just have to learn to deal with the changes that are forced upon me.
