In the past few weeks my screen has been intermittently unresponsive, but resetting the device usually worked. However the past few days the screen will not respond at all point blank.
i tried resetting the device but now I keep getting the errors “Data not cleared sync and try again” and if I am lucky enough to get off that screen, and try resetting again I get the message “Reset failed your data was not cleared”.
I've only had this a few months and a third of the time I’ve been having issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I’ve tried factory resetting multiple times and forced restarts...
to get around being able to see all the data on the screen without having to tap the screen I’ve installed a new clock face.

@Elcowardo, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa screen displays a "Data not cleared sync and try again" message and won't turn on.
Please try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face. After this, restart your watch again and see if the issue gets fixed.
Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi,
Just tried again using the original clock face and it’s the same issue. Error message shows up, I can’t tap the prompt on the screen, then if I hold all 3 buttons down for a second or two it will take me to the clock face. However I still then can’t swipe the screen, and I get an error pop up intermittently.
not sure why but once or twice a day it starts working again for a few minutes then stops again.

I just let the battery run down and then reset the watch and the error messages have gone, but now I’m back to the original issue of the screen being unresponsive 75% of the time.
it shows the time fine and sends all my stats to my app but just picks and chooses when I can swipe the screen.
I’m not sure if it’s relevant but this issue has been more prevalent since the last firmware update.
