I've had an original Versa since 2018 but the battery life had seriously degraded and right side buttons were not working well anymore. So I just went to the Versa 2 (not interested in the Versa 3 or 4). It is working great, firmware is 35.70.7.14. Of course after a few days it wants to install new firmware. If this would be the version that has been reported as having serious problems, I think I will stay where I am. Anything major as far as updates I would be missing by not upgrading? If I do upgrade and have problems I could take it back and exchange it.

I appreciate this information. I'd suggest you proceed with the update as it will allow you to use other features of your device. But I still understand your concern and if in any case you have a problem, you can always reach out to the Community.
