Update killed my device ios

  • I did the update as required, the update was successful and the battery was at 100%.   8 hours later it’s dead. Fitbit is owned by Google and they have tons of money.

I have the same problem with my versa 3. When I contacted customer support about it their solution was to see if my Fitbit is covered under warranty (it's not - I purchased mine almost 2 years ago). Absolutely ridiculous. Nothing changed besides the update. Before the update I got 5 to 6 days of battery life and after the update my Fitbit battery drops about 15% per hour

They're referring my case to the warrantee department, it's not under warantee but it didn't fail, THEY destroyed it, so we'll see.

Same boat - the best they offered me was a 35% discount on a new Fitbit. Why would I want another Fitbit just to wait for them to kill that with a poorly done firmware update in the future too? 🤣

Update, Fitbit is replacing my tracker, shipped same day.

That's great news! I've yet to hear back from them after telling them that a 35% discount to replace a tracker they'd bricked was unacceptable.

Did you call them or do a chat or how did you contact them?

Called them too. Best I got after a lot of back & forth and frustration is a discount code for 35% off. I will be switching to Garmin.
