Hi there just got versa 2. When on watch in settings I check firware it says v 35.70.7.14 and when I try to install find my phone it says update versa 2. In the online help it says if firmware version is lower than v 38 update it. But when I select from the app update it says it is up to date.

How can I get find my phone working please advise

After you setup your fitbit the app would have checked for a firmware update. It would have then started to download the update bit-by-bit in the background. When the download is complete the app will prompt you to install it. Fitbit say this download process can take up to a couple of days so keep an eye on the app.

thanks for taking the time to reply. Appreciate it.

Seriously!?! Which device takes DAYS to update a tiny firmaware??? Wow that is a serious flaw if you ask me. My iphone update thats can be gigabytes can be done within  half an hour.

any idea what is wrong and why it should take days to update?

is there no way of forcing the update? I just got the watch and want to install an app that requires the latest update.

sorry for the rant but I am perplexed...

There is no way to force the update. I don't know the details but I suspect that for some people the download only processes when the fitbit is syncing which might explain why it takes so long.

Thanks Steve, sorry didn’t want to come across as if I am shooting the messenger. Appreciate the input.

Don't worry. I can understand how frustrating it is. Fitbits didn't use to work this way. When an update was available it would prompt you to download and install it straight away. However, the download over bluetooth took ages and I guess this new method addresses that. I would prefer to go back to the old method.
