Updated Versa 2, now it will not stay paired with my iPhone

The other day I got a prompt to update my Fitbit (app?), which I did. Shortly thereafter I noticed an unfamiliar icon at the top of my screen. It is an upright rectangle with a diagonal line through it. I also noticed that when I swiped down, the same icon was next to my charged percentage.

I searched online and learned that this (potentially) means “Out of Range” from my phone.

I also learned several solutions. I have tried them all… several times.

1) Turned both devices off/on

2) Turned Bluetooth off/on

3) Forgot my Versa 2 from iPhone

4) Uninstalled/Reinstalled the Fitbit app

5) Forgot the Versa in the app and added it back

I am sure I am tried more but I’m drawing a blank.

It appears that it connects and then disconnects, not staying connected.

Please help!

Hi there @Ivansjunk!

A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Thank you so much for letting us know that your Versa 2 won't connect to the Fitbit app and for all your efforts.

Can you please verify if you don't have another Fitbit device linked to your account? If yes, please try to unpair the other device first:

  • From the Today tab, tap the devices icon.
  • Tap the device you want to remove.
  • Tap the option to remove the device (on Android phones, tap the trash icon).
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the device from your account.
  • Afterwards please follow the troubleshooting steps described in this article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
