Using MapMyRun simultaneously with Fitbit

My wife has a Versa 2 that does not have GPS. She would like to continue to use MapMyRun as her running app when running but have versa 2 use GPS data at the same time. So basically have fitbit collecting gps  data in the background. Is this possible?
