VERSA 2 - GPS KEEPS DROPPING OUT DURING RUNS!??

My Versa 2 GPS has started to ‘drop out’ during my daily run during my holiday to Barbados! It was ok for a few weeks but this is the 4th day it has failed and I am here purely to exercise and bolster my heart health. I am desperate! Does anybody know how I might rectify this situation please?😳

Hello @lamboson and welcome to the Community.  The Versa 2 has connected GPS and uses the sensors in your phone.  So it's your phone, not your Fitbit.  You say you are on holiday.  If you are using your personal mobile phone, you might need a SIM card from a Barbados carrier or something like that.  I don't have personal experience, so that's a wild guess.  Maybe a hotel staff member can help you.

 

Or you could drop off the grid while you're on holiday, use auto-recognition and skip the GPS. 😉

However, I’m not very tech-minded (and I’m 65 years old) and haven’t a clue how to do the thing/s you are suggesting! Many thanks for your suggestion though.
