I use the first Versa (Apr 2019) and I'm up to date with 3.45. It worked until about a week ago. I walk inside on a flat surface. Just walk. Active heartrate jumped from 75 to 110. Manual read was between 70 and 85. Resting heartrate dropped to 44 from 54. Because of the change to Active Zone instead of Active Minutes, the calories on the app are incorrect.
Using the band the fitbit came with won't work because it didn't come with one. I moved it from my wrist up two fingers as suggested and it worked for a couple days however I find wearing my watch halfway up my arm uncalled for. The reader is clean. I've restarted the Versa numerous times.
This started after I upgraded from Android (moto z3) to Iphone (iPhone 11 xr). I'm sure that's just a coincidence considering I'm not having a problem with the app itself. I use the app for approximate calorie counting and this kills it.
Any fixes? Is there any way to turn off the heart rate on the Versa?

On a Versa 1 watch, swipe to left till you find Settings, tap on it, scroll down to Bluetooth, and a little further is heart rate.

Hi, it most likely started with the recent firmware update on the watch, check to see if you have 32.72.1.115, the previous firmware 32.72.1.9 was more reliable.
You can turn off heart rate in the Watch Settings. However this will probably affect the Active zone minutes and Calories.

3.45 is most recent for Versa 1. I hadn’t seen any posts about versa 1 among the posts addressing the issue, just versa 2 and up. I was hoping it was something else but you’re probably right.
Ive searched for a place to turn off heart rate and can’t find anything. I’ll look more but don’t think that is an option on the first Versa.
