Unfortunately yesterday after I did 5,000+ steps, 8 floors and about 1,770 calorie burn plus one workout I opened the fitbit app on my Android phone and synced it. However, opposite to what I expected, default data transferred from the app to the watch instead of transfering the real time data from the watch to the app as usual, which basically annulled the steps and floors count, erased my workout and lessened my calorie burn. Please fix it. It's extremely unpleasant to lose all the records at the end of the day.

Hi there @Gloria.P. Welcome to Community Forums.
I appreciate you share your experience. I'd recommend you have the latest Fitbit Firmware and OS of your mobile device, then restart your device.
Fitbit devices use a 3-axis accelerometer to track movement. Our finely-tuned algorithm interprets the data from the accelerometer to provide a step count. When you sync your device, your step count appears in the Fitbit app.
They calculate distance based on the device’s accelerometer data and stride length setting. Default stride length is based on your height and gender. If available, Fitbit devices use GPS data to calculate more precise distances. When you sync your device, our algorithm interprets the data from the device, and you see the distance traveled in the Fitbit app.
