Prior to purchasing my new Versa 2, I did an online chat to confirm that I should be able to disable the heart rate monitoring since it tends to irritate my wrist. I turned it off in the settings, but I can see that the watch's pulse monitor is still running (the green light on the back of the device). Is it possible to disable this function entirely?

The manual for the original Versa says "Note that the green LED on the back of Versa continues to flash even if you turn off heart-rate tracking."
There is no such entry in the Versa 2 manual but I've just tested it on mine and it seems to be the same.

I have versa 2 lite and I want to turn OFF the heart rate monitor, I don’t care about the green lights. I just want to make sure it doesn’t drain my battery faster, by having the heart monitor on ?? I hope to hear from someone soon Thanks

Dear FitBit. Doesn't "disable heart rate data features" mean switch off? Meaning, no measurements. No battery power wasted by heartrate LEDs. LEDs switched off.
If disable worked this way in Blaze model, for example, why doesn't disable work same way in Versa 2?
