What happened with the FIrmware update? It has screwed up all of my heart rate zones and settings. Can barely get into Fatburn now on a walk or short workout where before it was quite common for me to be there for couple hours daily/ Is this correct, was it wrong before....?

The firmware update has included a change from Active Minutes to Active Zone Minutes and that entails a change to the way heart rate zones are calculated. Rather than being based just on our age, they now also take into account our resting heart rate which Fitbit say makes them tailored to our fitness level.

Many people, including you and I, are seeing that this results in the zones being harder to achieve.

There are a couple of help files that explain things in more detail:

thanks Steve, I will read up on it. Bottom line I am guessing I was not in FatBurn zone as often as FitBit indicated and its actually more accurate now than before. About 18 points higher to get into Fatburn zone than before...
