For the past few weeks when out walking my watch vibrates and GPS run detect comes on, but I am not running. The vibrating is annoying enough but it is incorrectly recording my exercise data as my walks are not being logged, on a few minutes run here and there. I have switched off the GPS settings in the exercise settings on watch, restarting and done a factory reset as advised but it is still connecting to GPS. Before I move to another product, can anyone tell me if they have had this issue and managed to fix it? It is driving me nuts...
Try this: On wrist, swipe through horizontally to Exercise App. Select Run, Before starting, note little up arrow at bottom of screen, swipe up from that for options specific to that; continue swiping to 'Run Detect' and turn that off.
Hopefully that will fix your problem.
Hi Johnny, thanks for responding. I should hsve said, I have turned the run detect off too. Still thinks i'm running 😫
Best AnswerIf you never run, or use the Exercise App when you do, have you turned off Run as an auto-recognized activity? Might not help but worth a shot.
Best AnswerYes, I have switched that off. I have done everything I can think of and has been suggested by fitbit support. I am thinking it must be an issue with the watch all of a sudden!
Sorry, I did not mean to reply as best answer, does that mean no one else can respond now?
Best AnswerI removed 'best answer' designation. Clicked circled check mark near top right corner of text box and was option in drop-down menu.
