Versa 2 GPS is not tracking accurately

I just bought a Versa2 yesterday.  Used this morning for a hike and the GPS did not track accurately at all.  I am reading that seem to be the norm for this watch.  Am I just out of luck?  My previous watch tracked hikes fairly accurately and that is actually on of the main reasons for wanting a fitbit.

Not going to name "previous watch"?  How about just whether it was another Fitbit model?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
