Incorrect distance recorded when running

The last 3 runs I have done have recorded much less than I have actually done, so therefore my average speed is out too. Any ideas?

Hello @L1977 where you using the connected GPS, with the resulting map? 

Have you set your stride?

I did a four mile run today (measured) and my versa 2 recorded 3.26 miles. GPS map looks accurate so not a GPS issue.

I thought it was just me! It is not recording accurately when I am hiking. Today I have over 12,000 steps and KNOW I hiked 2.7 miles,  and the fitbit says I have done only 1.6 miles. So irritating.
