Heart Rate Monitor WILDLY Inaccurate!
I am a five-year user of FitBit devices and recently (March 2020) bought a new Versa 2. I am recovering from a heart attack (Dec. 22, 2019) and am in a cardiac rehab program with Kaiser Permanente, SoCal. KP provided me with a Samsung watch for the first 8 weeks of the program, and when I had to turn it in, I bought the Versa. My Versa has been going berserk with heart rate readings, today recording up to 203 bpm when the actual rate, confirmed by my Oximeter, maxed out at 124. The Versa is spot on at lower heart rates, but twice now has radically high readings. The summary at the end of my exercise period gave the correct rate, 124, but it was frightening to get the high readings while exercising. I'm 88 years old, maximum exercise bpm is 132, so at 203, I was dead. I need a fix or a replacement! Thanks for any assistance.
