Versa 2: Inconsistent GPS tracking

I have had my Fitbit vests 2 years now. Recently I have been running same track daily, using same apple iPhone and yet (1) maps sometimes work sometimes not- Why - I do note that gps tracking keeps showing ‘not connecting’ on and off”is this why(2) some days map shows I ran distance in a straight line ???? And (3) I run approx 10 k, same track yet some days it records variance as low as 8 ks yet recording 1k splits up to 10 k’s . Truly feeling low confidence with fit bit now....Help

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which iPhone are you using? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Versa 2 and try the following steps to troubleshoot the app:

 

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the OS version of your phone is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

My phone is Apple SE.
Problem is only 2 weeks old that I am aware of, though the intermittent recording of Mapping has been 6 months.

I have dome as you suggest and will monitor and advise.
