I noticed about a week prior it didn't seem to hold a charge as long but it was just recently charged. I was lounging in the pool with it on and it was working and then about 30 minutes later it was unresponsive. I've cleaned the prongs; tried different charge plugs; tried holding the button in for 20 seconds, etc. Oddly my husband's versa 3 did something very similar a few days ago. Im wondering if a software update is causing these issues?

Hi there, @Milleap. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is still unresponsive. I understand your concern and why you might think there's a software update causing the issues. I will do my best to help you with this!
If your device got wet it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. On the other hand, if your device has come into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser and dry it with a lint free-cloth.
On a side note, please note that sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working. Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.
When it has had two hours, try restarting your Versa 2 once again. I would recommend trying this maybe twice in a row if a first try doesn’t work.
If the above doesn't work, please make sure you've follow all troubleshooting steps provided in this help article Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
Is your husband's Fitbit device still having issues?
