Versa 2 - Many Issues including Not Tracking Sleep

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa 2 is having issues. About two months ago, it completely stopped automatically tracking my workouts. No big deal, I just start them manually. However, it is now having many other problems. It will not accurately track my sleep (which is why I bought the Versa in the first place). For example, four nights out of five it will say it could not get an accurate heart rate during sleep. When it does record my sleep stats, they are not correct.  Example - Last night I slept about 6.5 hours, and it says I slept 1 hour and 30 minutes.

I have restarted the Versa numerous times using the information here, to no avail. I have the device in the proper spot on my wrist.  I've cleaned the contacts as per Fitbit's instructions.

I get that most devices have a built-in obsolescence - is that the simple case here?  I'm reluctant to buy another Fitbit device at this point.

Another update.  Last night it recorded NO sleep data AT ALL. Just says "Wear your Fitbit to bed."  I checked the firmware and it's up to date.  This is ridiculous! Is a moderator going to respond or what?

The fact that there are 73 views since yesterday leads me to believe that many of us share your complaints. Could we get some help here, please?

Mine stopped tracking my sleep a few weeks ago.  I was wondering "What's the deal????"

I'm just going to keep on posting for comedic purposes because obviously, no one at Fitbit gives a crap. Other questions have been answered since I posted, but of course not this one. Next problem - now my Versa will not sync to the app.  The app just keeps saying "Sync is taking a while, sit tight." Well I've been "sitting tight" for three days.  Tried adding the app to another device and it won't work there either. This is freaking OUTRAGEOUS. Maybe Google shouldn't have fired all those people so we can get some **ahem** support for these arm paperweights.

I got so tired of since my fitbit 6 or 7 times a day. I told a fitness watch I brought my son on wish 3 yes ago and it works better than the versa.

From other postings on this forum, this might be related to a recent firmware update. Whatever reason, a lot of us are having similar issues with the HR on our Versa 2 (which in turn stops the sleep sensor).

Fitbit support deny that it is their firmware, and asked me to do two factory resets and update installs. Each took about 30mins total, but the guy said it would only take 2 minutes!!!

They are now suggesting it is the sensor that has failed, and someone will contact me with a resolution. If it's not a new watch, I'm giving on Fitbit (after 8 years) and looking at other smart watches... will keep you all informed!

I can pretty much guarantee that if there has been a firmware update, my sleep tracking will stop. To be exact, it stopped for me on April 18th. I reloaded the app, did reboots and reinstalls/setups x 4. The only light I can see is that last time this happened, my sleep tracking came back eventually. Sometimes took a month or more to get the new system update. You can look at my profile to see all the times I have reported the loss of sleep tracking in the past... The last time I was advised that only volunteers monitor these problems and if we want answers we have to go to official chat or call.

I've had same issues. No sleep data, no heart rate data, no stress data which are all big reasons why I got my fitbit.

If there's no way to fix the problems I'll have to go with a different brand watch that works properly.
