Versa 2 Not updating

I was gifted the Versa 2. I am on day 2 of trying to update the product. It syncs just fine but gets stuck in the download state. I have done the following:

 

Reset my phone 3 times

Removed the app and reinstalled the app 3 times

Restarted the FitBit 3 times

 

It was on the charger overnight and when I picked it up to check, the battery was lower than when I put it on the charger and confirmed it was charging. 

 

I am beyond frustrated as I am unable to use the product because it has not updated. More than likely returning the product.

 

Please advise. Thanks.
