The last two days my watch has registered active minutes (45) just in the morning while I’m getting dressed and dropping my kid off at daycare. This has never happened before. As a result, I’ve been paying closer attention to the heart rate reading than normal. I’ve noticed my heart rate when I’m at rest is constantly fluctuating. For example... I sat here at my desk for a minute and watched it. It registered the following readings all in one minute :
72 67 70 69 71 73 74 75 72 76 74 75 76 77 78 79 80 81 88 89 87 79
earlier this morning it was registering in the low 60s. Now it’s hitting up in to the 90s. This never happened with my charge. I’m very annoyed.... a $300 watch and the heart rate technology is worse than the earlier, cheaper models?
ive made sure I’m wearing my watch one finger width away from wrist bone. Not too tight and not too loose. I’ve turned HR off, restarted watch, then back on. Done the same thing whole syncing to phone. Nothing helps.
I’ve also noticed that it registers a HR while I’m not even wearing it.
The reason I wear a Fitbit is to hit my 60 active mins goal every day. If it’s going to give me 45 just for getting to work I might as well throw it in the trash. It’s never done this before... I’m not winded or over exerting by walking to car, in to daycare, back to car, in to office....
should have gotten the smart watch.

I’m having the same problem when I’m working out with weights. Sometimes I’ll be sweating hard and my hr will be in the low 70s and then I’ll be relaxing and my rate will be 140. It seems inconsistent and inaccurate
